Peaches

I have had my peach tree about three years now - it cost £9.99 at Homebase and this year it produced about 30 peaches.  They were coming along nicely in this next picture which was taken around the 30th June:-

Still not ripe enough

We have been eating them for over a week now and the last of them I picked today - really ripe and ready to eat straightaway.

Scrummy!

  1. Jennifer did you keep your peach tree growing in a pot in the greenhouse?

I am interested in trying too.

  2. No it went straight into the garden after I had bought it. It has to be south facing so it gets the sun on it all day long. Where I used to live I had a fan shaped tree growing on the side of the house, but that too was south facing and very sheltered.

  4. No peaches this year Kath due to the very early hot spell. Blossom came out and then we hit really cold weather, no bees about so no peaches but it's the same for my cherry trees too, lots and lots of blossom but no cherries.
